Excavation of the backyard and the basement work begins Nov 2019 - Jan 2020 

Construction Begins! The end of October brought with it the beginning of winter and the end of our back deck! We started on what we could (getting rid of the deck and excavation of the backyard while we waited on permits from the City of Denver.  We had hoped to have permits by Nov but due to some delays we did not end up with our permits until Jan 2020. Here are some photos from the removal of the deck and our first steps!

We started with a 1970 Split Level in NW Denver This is what our darling new house looked like when we bought it. It was built in 1970 and had a standard split level floor plan. What sold us on the house was the huge (for NW Denver), 12,000 square foot lot!  Here is what the inside looked like when we bought it: The only room that will stay as it is after the remodel is the lower downstairs bathroom:
